Vague 5 Liter Pedal Bin with Soft Closing Lid
Product Details
The 5-litre version of the Vague soft-close pedal bin. Five litres is the practical step up from 3 litres for rooms that also collect packaging or paper towel rather than small waste alone, while keeping a footprint that still fits beside a vanity or desk.

Who it suits
Suits hotel rooms and washrooms with higher turnover than a 3-litre bin can handle, and small offices where the bin is emptied daily rather than twice a day. Sites handling food waste should move to a lidded 30-litre-plus bin with a liner; 5 litres fills too fast and encourages overfilling.
Common questions
How much bigger is 5 litres than 3 in practice?
Roughly two-thirds more volume for a similar footprint, which usually means one emptying a day instead of two in a washroom.
Is it suitable for food waste?
Not for a kitchen. For a break room where the occasional food wrapper is thrown away it is acceptable, provided it is emptied daily.
Does the lid stay open while in use?
Pedal bins in this class hold the lid open while the pedal is pressed and close it when released, which is what keeps the operation hands-free.
What liner size fits a 5-litre bin?
A small liner rated for 5 to 10 litres fits with enough overhang to fold over the rim.
