Common questions
Choosing a commercial bin
Size the bin to how often it is emptied, not to the room: a kitchen emptied every service needs less than an office bin emptied once a day. Pedal and sensor lids keep hands off the lid, which matters in kitchens and washrooms; swing and push lids suit fast public use; open tops suit offices. Wheels are worth having from about 100 litres, when a full bin is too heavy to lift.
What liner does it take?
A bin liner rated for the bin’s capacity; the liner should overhang the rim so it can be tied.
How does the sensor work?
A motion sensor opens the lid when a hand approaches and closes it after, so nothing is touched.
