Common questions
Do recycling bins actually get used?
Only when the streams are clear. Label each opening with a simple icon for paper, plastic, cans or general waste, place the bin where people already throw things away, and match the streams to what your waste contractor collects separately. A recycling bin whose streams end up in one truck undermines trust in the whole programme.
Where does it hang?
On a drawer front or cabinet door, using the hook.
How much does it hold?
3 litres.
Is it dishwasher safe?
PP generally tolerates washing; follow the manufacturer's care guidance.
Why collect scraps separately?
It keeps wet waste out of general bins and supports composting.
