Common questions

Choosing cutlery
18/10 stainless steel carries nickel for a brighter finish and better corrosion resistance; 18/0 is harder-wearing and magnetic. Weight and balance matter at the table; keep spares for breakage and loss.

Can it go in the dishwasher?
Stainless cutlery is dishwasher-safe; rinse off salty or acidic food first and dry it promptly to avoid spots.

How is it cared for?
Wipe it clean and dry it straight away so it does not rust; keep it out of standing water.

How should cutlery be stored?
Dry and sorted in cutlery holders or rolls; wet cutlery left together spots and stains.

How much should a restaurant stock?
Two to three pieces of each type per cover, plus spares for loss.
