Common questions
Rotary floor machines
Low-speed rotary machines (around 150 to 200 rpm) scrub, strip, shampoo carpets and crystallise marble; weighted machines press harder for stone work; high-speed burnishers spin at 1,000 rpm and more to bring up a gloss. Orbital machines strip and clean with little or no chemical. Brushes and pads fit on a drive plate of the same diameter.
What is it for?
Scrubbing grout, stairs, edges, washrooms and small areas that a large machine cannot reach.
How long does the battery last?
See the runtime in its specifications; spare batteries extend a shift.
How is it maintained?
Follow the maker's manual: keep filters, hoses and brushes clean, check cables and seals before use, and have it serviced at the intervals it sets.
