Common questions

What protection do staff need?
Professional oven cleaners, degreasers and acid descalers are corrosive. Staff need chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection, the safety data sheet should be on hand, and the product should be used on cool surfaces unless the label says otherwise. Never decant into unlabelled bottles.

Why alkaline?
Alkaline cleaners break down fats and grease.

Is it for natural stone?
Check first; strong alkalis can dull some stone.

How is it diluted?
As the label directs.

Should the floor be rinsed?
Yes, where residue could make it slippery.
