Flora Trendy Waste Bin with Pedal
Product Details
The Flora Trendy waste bin is a polypropylene pedal bin built for everyday waste in homes and commercial areas. Polypropylene is the reason it suits wet environments: it does not corrode, it tolerates repeated washing down, and it is light enough to carry to the waste store when full.

Who it suits
A sensible back-of-house choice for kitchens and service corridors, where bins get washed down and knocked about and stainless steel would dent or water-mark. In guest-facing areas stainless looks better and is usually specified instead, so most sites use both depending on whether customers see the bin.
Common questions
Why polypropylene instead of stainless steel?
PP does not corrode, tolerates washing down and is lighter to carry. Stainless looks better in guest areas but dents and water-marks in service areas.
Is it heat resistant enough for a kitchen?
It handles normal kitchen conditions, but hot oil or embers must never go into a plastic bin. Those require a metal container.
Can it be washed in a washdown area?
Yes, which is one of the main reasons PP bins are used back of house.
How does it compare on lifespan?
In wet service areas a PP bin usually outlasts stainless, because the failure mode for stainless there is corrosion and denting rather than wear.
