Common questions

Strainers, sieves and colanders
Mesh size decides the job: fine mesh for sauces, juices and stocks, wider holes for draining pasta and vegetables.

Which size?
Match the strainer to the pot or batch: small ones for drinks and sauces, large ones for stocks and pasta.

How is it cleaned?
Rinse straight after use and brush the mesh from the back so food does not dry in it.
