Common questions
Coffee grinders
The grinder matters as much as the brewer: burr grinders give an even particle size. Conical and flat burrs, burr size and motor speed decide speed and taste; hand grinders suit travel and single cups.
Which grind setting do I need?
Fine for espresso, medium-fine for pour-over, medium for filter machines and coarse for French press and cold brew.
How is it cleaned?
Brush out the burrs and chute regularly and use grinder-cleaning tablets as the maker allows; never wash burrs with water.
When should burrs be replaced?
When grind consistency falls, at the maker's recommended kilograms.
