Common questions
Cleaning chemicals
The right product, used at the strength on its label, cleans better and is safer than using more of a stronger one.
How should chemicals be stored?
Upright in their original containers, labelled, away from food and out of direct sun, in a ventilated store.
Can different products be mixed?
No. Never mix bleach with acids or ammonia-based cleaners; it releases harmful gas.
What protection should staff wear?
Gloves at least, and eye protection when decanting or using concentrates, as the label directs.
