Common questions

Cups for coffee and tea service
Cup size matters for coffee: espresso needs a small, thick-walled cup that holds heat, cappuccino needs room for foam, and lattes need a larger cup or glass. Matching saucers keep service tidy and stack with the cups.

What is a 230 ml cup for?
Cappuccino, flat white and tea.

How should glass be handled?
Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as boiling water into a cold glass; wash it in a glass rack and store it so rims do not knock together.

What are its care and use ratings?
The maker lists it as dishwasher-safe, stackable and shatter-resistant.

Why warm the cups?
A warm cup keeps coffee at temperature longer; keep espresso and cappuccino cups on the machine's cup warmer.
