Common questions

Platters for sharing and buffets
Platters carry mains, mezze, desserts and fruit for sharing and for the buffet line. Long rectangular and oval platters fill a buffet neatly; large round platters suit centrepieces.

What is it used for?
Table service, room service and serving mains or desserts.

How does porcelain hold up in commercial use?
Hotel porcelain is fired hard and dense, so it resists chipping and goes through commercial dishwashers. Pieces with gold or silver rims or decoration are best hand-washed and kept out of the microwave.

Where is it used?
Restaurant kitchens, cafés, hotels, caterers and homes.

How is it cleaned?
Wash in warm soapy water, rinse and dry; check the material before using the dishwasher.
