Common questions

Choosing a cleaning bucket
Size the bucket to the job: 4 to 10 litres for spot cleaning and cloths, 12 to 20 litres for a room or corridor, and a wringer trolley for large floors. A two-compartment bucket keeps clean solution apart from dirty rinse water, and colour-coded buckets stop washroom water being used in the kitchen.

Why wring the mop well?
A damp mop dries faster and leaves fewer streaks and slip hazards than a wet one.

Why two compartments?
Where a bucket has two, clean solution stays in one side and rinse water in the other, so the mop is never dipped back into dirty water.

What is a 16-litre bucket right for?
A room, a washroom block or a stretch of corridor.

How is it cleaned?
Empty it after each use, wash with detergent, rinse and leave it upside down to dry so it does not smell.
