Common questions
Floor pad colours, from strip to shine
Pads are graded by aggressiveness. Black and brown strip old floor finish; green scrubs; red and blue clean and spray-buff; white polishes and burnishes; diamond-impregnated pads hone and polish marble, terrazzo and stone with water alone. Always start with the least aggressive pad that does the job.
Which colour do I need?
Black or brown to strip, green to scrub, red or blue to clean and spray-buff, white to polish. Start with the gentlest pad that works.
Which machine does it fit?
A machine with a pad driver of the same size as the pad; see the size in the specifications.
How long does a pad last?
Rinse it after use and hang it to dry; turn it over to use the second side, and replace it when it is worn thin or clogged.
