Who it suits

For speciality bars standardising tamp across several baristas where space under the grinder is limited — at 13.8 cm high it is the shallowest in the range. Adjustable diameter means it survives a change of machine or basket, unlike the fixed M2.

Common questions

How does it compare with the M5 and M2?
The M6 is the lightest at 5.2 kg and lowest at 13.8 cm. The M5 is 5.5 kg and 14 cm; the M2 is heavier and fixed at 58.3 mm rather than adjustable.

Why choose adjustable over fixed?
It survives a change of espresso machine or basket size. A fixed tamper only works while your basket diameter stays the same.

What does the non-stick face do?
It stops grounds clinging and lifting off the puck as the tamper retracts, which would leave an uneven bed.

Does it need its own power supply?
It draws 76 W from a standard socket, so no special circuit is required.
